Air France Received Bomb Threat June 3. 2009
In the days leading up to the Air France airplane disaster from Brazil to Paris, the airline received a terrorist bomb threat regarding one of their planes in the region.
"Fuel slick" created by Air France plane STORY SOURCE Bomb threat on Air France flight Posted on 27 May 2009 at 16:27 - Security personnel at Buenos Aires-Ezeiza airport in Argentina delayed an Air France flight this evening before departing for Paris immediately after the company received a bomb threat over the phone at the airport offices. The Argentine Federal Police, along the Firemen’s direction and the Airport’s Security proceeded to inspect the plane, that had arrived this morning from the French city and, after a brief stop, was preparing to return. The routine procedure lasted approximately an hour and a half and, as sources of the airport reported, all the passengers are ok and they were not evacuated from the plane. A large piece of debris seen floating in the Atlantic may be part of Flight 447's fuselage, a Brazilian military spokesman says. 10:28 AM PDT, June 3, 2009 - Reporting from Bogota, Colombia, and Sao Paulo, Brazil -- Brazilian authorities said military aircraft early today located several more pieces of debris in an area where an ill-fated Air France flight is believed to have crashed with 228 people aboard. The debris detected by aircraft radar included a 23-foot section that officials said may be part of Flight 447 that disappeared late Sunday after flying through turbulence and sending out an automatic alert of an electrical failure. |
