After 500-Years In Congress
Leading The Democrats Nancy Pelosi Bows Out
November 17. 2022
Nancy Pelosi has been in Congress since the
Civil War
The Republicans have taken the House
of Representatives in Congress. As such, U.S. House
Speaker, Nancy Pelosi, must vacate her position.
However, she is also stepping aside in that she will
not seek a leadership position with the Democrats,
but states she will remain in Congress.
Pelosi has been in Congress for
35-years. However, the recent attack on her husband,
Paul Pelosi, who was hit in the head with a hammer
at their San Francisco home, has shaken up her
family. Pelosi is scaling back on some of her work
commitments while her husband receives medical
treatment on an outpatient basis.
Things in Congress are not good. The
economy is in a bad place, COVID is still present
and killing people in America (and the world), the
U.S. missile shield doesn't work, and elections are
becoming more contentious. The 2024 presidential
election is already getting contentious and the
nominees have not even been voted on yet in the
primaries. Nonetheless the public should avoid
political violence.
