California’s Garlic Food Festival (Video)
July 29. 2019
6-year-old Stephen Romero was shot in the head by a
crazed gunman at the Garlic Food Festival in Gilroy, California this
past Saturday. 13-year-old girl Keyla Salazar was also shot to
death, as well as 25-year-old Trevor Irby. 11 other people were
injured in the mass shooting.

Police have named 19-year-old white supremacist, Santino
William Legan, as the prime suspect in the mass shooting. He was shot and killed by
police, who quickly responded to the incident in less than a minute.
Some festival goers state he had an accomplice. Police are
investigating the lead.

The event had proper security, such as checkpoints
with hand held metal detectors. However, deceitful Legan, who lives
near to the festival, cut a hole in the chain link fence and
smuggled a weapon into the event. The murder weapon is said to be a
AK-47 rifle Legan had purchased in neighboring Nevada on July 6,
2019.

The Gilroy Garlic Festival is a popular food and
music event in California that has been held annually for the past
40-years. Thousands of locals volunteer at the festival, whose
proceeds go to helping many local charities. The festival is known
for it’s uplifting, family friendly atmosphere. It is terrible that
they were attacked and while doing such good for the community.

Legan is being referred to as a white supremacist
due to the fact he posted racist items online. Legan posted items on
Instagram.com about the racist 1890 manifesto “Might is Right or The
Survival of the Fittest.” The term “Might is Right” is associated
with Nazism. Some also use the phrase “White is Right.” Legan’s
internet postings are full of racial slurs against mixed race
people. My condolences to the people of Gilroy.
