15-Year-Old Boy Killed In London Outside Fast Food Restaurant In Act Of Gang Violence November 5. 2018
Jai Sewell 15-year-old Jai Sewell also known as Jay Hughes, was stabbed to death outside a London fast food restaurant last week in Bellingham. Jai told his family he was going to buy a meal at a fast food chicken restaurant that he and his friends often hung around. However, he never came home. Two men in a cab followed him down the street, then leapt out and attacked him with knives. During the attack he was stabbed through the stomach with a large machete. Kent police stated, "His stomach was cut open by a large knife or machete outside Morley's fast good shop aroid 5:20PM yesterday. Witnesses are sought by police." Jai sustained additional stab wounds in the attack. He stumbled inside the chicken restaurant and was given first aid while paramedics were summoned. He was rushed to the hospital and pronounced dead 3 hours after the violent incident occurred. His last words were, "Man is gonna die! Man is gonna die!"
Jai Sewell's transformation after hanging out with the
wrong crowd became apparent. Nonetheless he didn't deserve to lose his life. It is believed he was involved with a gang and was killed in a premeditated attack. Police chief Cressida Dick is of the belief the incident was ordered by a drug dealer. Photos taken from Jai's social networking pages reveal him smoking marijuana. Another photo circulating on social networking claiming to be from his page shows a teenage boy posing with guns and dressed in designer clothes. The face of the teenage boy is not shown in the photo. 15 is very young to die. This young man had gotten involved in
things that ended up destroying him. However, he didn't deserve to be killed.
What a senseless waste of life. It saddens me to see teens losing their lives in
acts of violence, especially when they had barely begun living. More must be
done to help them. In so many of these stories family members of the deceased state the victim was not involved in gangs. However, later evidence reveals something transpired and the victim of the murder had ended up in a gang or being forced by gangs to do things against their will. The government needs to start rounding up these gangs to spare the lives of countless youth and adults in Britain.
