15 Dead In Tragic Texas Plant Explosion April 19. 2013
A fire and explosion at the West Fertilizer Company in West, Texas killed at least 15 people and leveled many homes yesterday. Over 160 people were also injured and reports indicate rescuers are still searching for survivors of the blaze, as many have been reported missing. The Associated Press describes West, Texas as, "A flat farming community 20 miles from Waco" with "2,800" residents. This incident is another reminder of the potency of fertilizer, which has been used in many makeshift bombs by terrorists. STORY SOURCE |
