Former U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama released a
book about her life and time in the White House. She and
husband, former U.S. President, Barack Obama, maintained a
unified front for the cameras. However, behind closed doors
their marriage was not what it appeared.

During the years of their marriage spent in the
White House they were not together. They lived separately. They
conducted separate lives. They spent more time apart than any
other first couple. Michelle Obama spent her time with her
children and mother. While Obama spent most of his time with
male aides such as Reggie Love.

Even in the ensuing years after their departure
from the White House, the couple still largely spends their time
apart. Michelle Obama indicated there are problems in her
marriage for which she and her husband sought counseling. The
problems are far greater than the public imagines.
