The “Surviving R Kelly” documentary has painfully exposed singer R Kelly, who is a pedophile and domestic violence abuser. The story has spread all over the world, as people are outraged and wondering how he has been able to abuse so many girls and for the past 25-years. Many of the women who shared their stories of abuse, regarding R Kelly molesting them as minors, did so with tears in their eyes.

And let’s not forget, court records in Chicago reveal, in 1995, a 27-year-old R Kelly obtained a fake identification and documents for 15-year-old singer, Aaliyah, lied to the court that she was 18 and proceeded to marry the underage girl. Her parents had the marriage annulled a year later, when they discovered what R Kelly had done.

Even his former tour manager, Demetrius Smith, confirmed he helped R Kelly get the fake identification and paperwork to illegally marry Aaliyah, whom they believed was pregnant. It is rumored she had an abortion. The marriage is proof he is a pedophile, as it is unlawful to have sex with a minor and he had been doing so for years, having met Aaliyah when she was 12.

Even after the Aaliyah marriage caused a scandal in music, R Kelly defiantly continued molesting underage girls, one as young as age 11. However, this time, due to the “Surviving R Kelly” documentary, the scandal has gone global, no longer relegated to just the music industry. People are demanding action against R Kelly. Two states are investigating his criminal behavior.

However, his record label, RCA/Sony Music, has remained quiet. They are one of his biggest enablers. They’ve known for years he is a sick sexual predator, but aided and abetted his criminal behavior, due to his record sales. Sony Music is the most greedy, unethical record label in the whole world. I have experience regarding them. They have absolutely no morals, decency or conscience. Therefore, it's no surprise to me that they have continued to support pedophile R Kelly for the past 25-years.

As Calls for R. Kelly Reckoning Intensify, RCA Records Stays Silent

“The label has relished in the publicity and intentionally popularized an image of R. Kelly as a palatable sex symbol, rather than the sexual predator he is,” says Color of Change organizer. As 'Surviving R. Kelly' has intensified calls for a R. Kelly reckoning, his record label RCA continues to remain silent. Less than a week after Lifetime aired the first episode of its cutting docuseries, Surviving R. Kelly, calls for the R&B singer’s comeuppance have reached critical mass.

John Legend, Meek Mill and Jada Pinkett Smith, among others, have decried the performer’s alleged sexual predation and misconduct, and singer Omarion has vowed to retire songs Kelly had written for him in the past. The greater music industry, though, has been surprisingly silent. Despite campaigns like #MuteRKelly and a petition with more than 80,000 signatures calling for his label RCA to drop him, the record label has yet to comment on the controversy.

RCA did not respond to multiple requests for comment on the status of R. Kelly’s contract with the label for this story. Kelly joined RCA’s roster in October 2011 after his previous label, Jive, was restructured into RCA.
