Transformers 3 Sales Decline 24% From Its Predecessor 1/4th Of Its Sales Are Gone During The Opening Weekend July 4. 2011 For the past year, the Judiciary Report has been writing about the "Transformers 3" film and the likelihood of suckage and that‘s exactly what has happened. Pre-release stills and clips revealed a not so good movie in the making. Apparently, audiences agree with the site, as "Transformers 3" also titled "Transformers: Dark Of The Moon" has experienced a sizable 24% decline in ticket sales in its opening days, from its predecessor, "Transformers 2" (according to the Deadline Hollywood website on Saturday). I finally caught "Transformers 3" this past Saturday and it was not a good movie (I want my money back). It sucked more than "Transformers 2." This weekend, "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" scooped up about $98 million in the U.S., compared to $128 million for the first weekend of "Transformers: Rise of the Fallen."
