The FBI's Framing Of Black Panther Geronimo Pratt For A Murder They Knew He Did Not Commit Cost Him 27-Years Of His Life In Prison August 2. 2018
Geronimo Pratt (the godfather of the late rapper Tupac Shakur, whom the FBI also neutralized sending him to prison before his untimely murder in a drive by shooting) The FBI has a history of being dirty. It has only gotten worse with time. The FBI is the most evil law enforcement agency on earth. Take for example the case of Black Panther Elmer "Geronimo Ji Jaga" Pratt. The university graduate and army veteran became disillusioned with the injustices being perpetrated against minorities in America (which continue to this day).
Pratt joined the Black Panthers and spoke out against racism and
inequality. It caught the FBI's attention, who branded him a
threat to America. Some Black Panthers engaged in violence to
get their point across, which I do not agree with, as I believe
in peaceful protests and financial boycotts of offending people
and companies. HOwever, the FBI doesn't care if you are peaceful
and law abiding, as they hate minorities. Take for example
peaceful
Geronimo Pratt as a young man But I digress. The FBI framed Pratt for the murder of 27-year-old school teacher, Carolina Olsen. The murder took place in Santa Monica, California. The FBI, who had Pratt under constant surveillance and knew he was 300 miles away in Oakland, California when Olsen's murder occurred. The FBI arranged for Olsen's husband to state in court that Pratt and another Black Panther, Julius Butler, murdered Olsen in a robbery where the stole $18. The FBI willfully and criminally withheld evidence they knew would exonerate Pratt, because they wanted his outspoken voice silenced via prison. Pratt was framed by the FBI and sent to prison for 27-years for a crime he did not commit. The dirty FBI let him rot in prison (much like they did to other innocent people in numerous cases that have been uncovered). Pratt's conviction was overturned. He was exonerated and freed. Pratt sued the FBI and LAPD. He won $5,000,000. He used the money to help the community. He later died of a heart attack in 2011. STORY SOURCE The evil FBI frame up that sent innocent Black Panther leader to prison for 27 years 08:49 am, July 31, 2018, History - Elmer “Geronimo Ji Jaga” Pratt was a decorated soldier who served two combat tours in Vietnam before he left the army and studied political science at University of California, Los Angeles. He became politically active and was recruited into the Black Panthers Party where his years in the army proved useful and rose to become Deputy Minister of Defense. He was born on September 13, 1947, in Louisiana, and was the youngest of seven children raised by Catholic parents who operated a small scrap-metal business. Pratt was arrested after the 1968 murder of a 27-year-old elementary school teacher, Caroline Olsen, perpetrated by two men on a tennis court during an $18 robbery in Santa Monica, California. In 1972, the FBI used a secret informant to help convict Pratt of a murder he did not commit. The prosecution’s case was based on the testimony of two witnesses: Kenneth Olsen, the surviving victim and husband of the murdered teacher who identified Pratt as the killer and Julius Butler, a disgruntled Black Panther Party expellee who testified through a letter that Pratt had told him he was involved in the murder. On July 28, 1972, the jury found Pratt guilty of first-degree murder, assault with intent to commit murder, and two counts of robbery. Pratt had maintained throughout his trial that he was in Oakland during the night of the murder. Subsequent to his conviction, Pratt’s attorneys discovered that numerous pieces of exculpatory evidence existed. Members of the state prosecution team and agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), who were cooperating with the team, were aware of this evidence at the time of trial. The important fact withheld from Pratt’s trial was the very existence of COINTELPRO, an acronym for an FBI counterintelligence program that secretly worked to discredit and disrupt Black movement, particularly the Black Panther Party in the 1960s and 1970s. Edgar Hoover, the then FBI director believed that the Panthers were “the greatest threat to the internal security of the country”, and this was his move to eliminate its leaders...
