Unbalanced Gay Group Calls For Jamaica Boycott Move Condemned By Gay Groups In Jamaica April 18. 2009
Jamaica Singling out Jamaica as a target for reasons
known to them, when crime rates against gays in America and the
Middle East is significantly higher than the island nation,
Now, what did the Jamaican liquor industry do to you. Their advertising and products are free from any kind of bias. Yet Dufty and co. nastily want people to boycott all things Jamaican, creating their own embargo against the island, similar to what has been done to Cuba for being communist. In the international community, that is negatively referred to as a pattern of abusing and trying to destroy smaller nations. This is the most bizarre, unbalanced and ignorant boycott I have ever witnessed, as it is not being called against an offending person, product or company that caused some grievance, but an entire nation of men, women, children and babies, full of innocent people, with a small minority (in number) of people being the offending party. Leading gay rights groups in Jamaica have publicly condemned the boycott online, "Jamaican homosexual group Jamaica Forum for Lesbians, and Gays (J-Flag) in a release posted on the Internet disapproved of the position taken by their counterparts in the US." For them to assume the entire nation is homophobic is ignorant stereotyping, showing they do not know Jamaica at all. I find their conduct racist, xenophobic and nasty and I know Dufty and co. would not do such a thing to a white nation. At a time
when U.S. president Barack Obama has sought to improve ties
between America and the world, after the regrettable manner in
which George W. Bush brought widespread, international scrutiny,
condemnation
and world anger upon the nation, via the wars in Iraq and
Afghanistan and blatant violations of global treaties, t However, what if other nations took the
unprecedented step, as you have, of publicly calling for a boycott of all
American goods and services, over the wars in
I'm sure Dufty and co. would be displeased. However, no one has done that in the international community, as it is globally viewed as an extreme step, damaging world relations. Why is A transgender rapper was viciously beaten last month by a California gang for being a homosexual. Thousands of gays have been killed in America due to their sexual orientation. According to FBI
statistics, hate crimes against gays have risen sharply in
America. Therefore, using their premise of crimes against gays
as grounds, w In closing, I have a question I would like

"We have been doing this through a small but growing group of increasingly aware opinion leaders who are concerned about the damage homophobia does to our society." http://www.jamaicaobserver.com Gays boycott Jamaican products Posted: 2009-03-30 12:42:41 - A gay-rights group in San Francisco has launched a boycott of Jamaica and Jamaican products.
