Terrorist Attack In India
Dozens Dead Hundreds Wounded
November 26. 2008
A group of radical terrorists attacked the city of Mumbai,
India today, killing 80 people and wounding 900, according to a
report in the Times Of India.
It was a coordinated attack that involved the landmark Taj
Mahal hotel, a popular tourist restaurant, a train station and
other citywide locations.
The terrorists also took hostages and some of them have
reportedly been executed. When making their selections, they
inquired who among the tourists had British or American passports.
This is truly sad. I wish people wouldn’t do things like
this. It’s a terrible reminder of how dangerous the whole
terrorism front is and how destructive it can be. Children were
even wounded in the attack.
My sympathies to the people of India and the tourists that
have been harmed in this tragedy.
Terror attacks in Mumbai; 80
dead, over 900 injured
Mumbai came under an
unprecedented night attack as terrorists used heavy machine
guns, including AK-47s, and grenades to strike at the city's
most high-profile targets -- the hyper-busy CST (formerly VT)
rail terminus; the landmark Taj Hotel at the Gateway and the
luxury Oberoi Trident at Nariman Point; the domestic airport at
Santa Cruz; the Cama and GT hospitals near CST; the Metro Adlabs
multiplex and Mazgaon Dockyard -- killing at least 80 and
sending more than 900 to hospital, according to latest reports.
