Sony Is On The Ropes - President Steps Down

TKO Looming - And That's Not Short For Tokyo

February 27. 2009

Ryoji Chubachi Chewbacca

Sony's President, Ryoji-Chubachi, who is mentioned in my article here, has stepped down from his post. Sony chairman, Howard Stringer, is laughably taking on his duties.

Clearly, Stringer thinks he is me and can take on 5 million things at one time - does he think he can read 10 Google and Yahoo articles at the same time and blog about it - I think not (LOL).

Howard Stringer

Seriously, what an unwise move. He can't even handle his job as chairman of the beleaguered corporation, yet somehow thinks added responsibilities will help the dying company. Keep playing with their company Stringer and they are going to ninja you.

Sony is certainly on the ropes, while their competitors thrive. Looking forward to that TKO, you arrogant slavetraders! You and Madonna, whose album you distributed, are the music industry's Madoffs, complete frauds criminally making money from ripping off hardworking people. Get a real job, Madonna and Sony and stop being degenerate colonialists. There is such a thing as the Civil Rights Act. You're an embarrassment to your families and colleagues.

Note to the stock buying public: massive losses are coming to Sony, which makes them an unwise investment.

Sony president stepping down, CEO Stringer remains

TOKYO — Embattled Sony Corp. said Friday that Ryoji Chubachi was stepping down as president, adding to the string of Japanese companies hoping to fight the global slowdown with renewed leadership.

Howard Stringer, chairman and chief executive, will stay on, adding the presidency as another title after Chubachi steps down April 1. Stringer said the change underlined Sony's commitment to becoming more competitive and rebuilding its image as a technological pioneer.

Tokyo - Sony Corp's president is to resign in April as the company was forecasting a record loss in the current business year because of a surge in the yen's value and declining sales, it said Friday.

The Japanese electronics giant announced that Ryoji Chubachi would step down and chairman Howard Stringer would serve in both posts as the firm seeks to achieve a recovery in its core electronics business.

Sony was expecting to suffer a net loss of 150 billion yen (1.53 billion dollars) and an operating loss of 260 billion yen for the business year that ends March 31...

Stringer Shakes up Sony Management, Takes President Position

Four years into his term as chairman of Sony and with the company facing plunging sales Howard Stringer plans to implement a company-wide reorganization and shake-up top management.

The changes, which will be effective from April 1, will see Stringer take on the title of president of Sony and with it direct control of the company's key electronics business. Stringer will retain his chairman and CEO titles, which gives him group-wide control of Sony, and Ryoji Chubachi, who currently serves as president, will become vice-chairman to assist Stringer in safety, quality and environmental issues, Sony said in a statement...
