People Are Unaccounted For In The Keys After Hurricane Irma (Video)

Reports indicate a number of people are unaccounted for in the Florida Keys after Hurricane Irma. Before the hurricane struck I expressed my dismay on Twitter that some people did not evacuate the Keys. The keys are a string of small islands on the southern coast of Florida. I went there when I was a kid. From what I remember, they are right on the water.

The Keys are not like inland Miami. The Keys are small and closely surrounded by water on all sides. As such, the hurricane created massive waves that battered the Keys on all sides. It is believed missing residents were washed out to sea. Many homes and businesses in the Keys have also been destroyed by the hurricane. Photos reveal the Keys looks like they've been hit by a bomb. 24 people have died in Florida due to Hurricane Irma.
