Pedophile Used Sony PS3 To Get Nude Photo Of Girl

A pedophile, Anthony Scott O'Shea, has set a precedent. He used a Sony PlayStation 3, to criminally obtain nude photographs of an 11-year-old girl.

He did so while playing the Sony PS3 with her online through Sony’s lax game service that transmitted the child pornography. He has been charged and arrested.

Suspect allegedly used PS3 in cyber sex crime

It's a first for Harris County -- a cyber sex crime committed not with a computer, but with a popular video game console. A man arrested in Kentucky didn't need his computer to view and send child pornography to an 11-year-old Houston area girl.

Anthony Scott O'Shea, 24, was arrested Friday at his home in Sommerset, Kentucky. Authorities said he was viewing and sending child pornography through his Sony Playstation3. O'Shea reportedly didn't even own a computer.

"He used the PS3 for everything, checked his email, played on the internet, on his PS3 and of course, played his games on PS3, but had no computer," said Sgt. Gary Spurger of Harris County Precinct 4.

Anthony Scott O’Shea, 24, of Somerset, Ky., has been charged with promotion of child pornography, online solicitation of a minor and sexual performance of a child. He will soon be transferred to Houston, said Sgt. Gary Spurger of the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office. The girl sent the man photos over the course of several weeks as they played games online with their PlayStation 3 consoles in December, Spurger said…

Online gaming took a nasty twist in America recently, when a man from Kentucky allegedly used the PlayStation 3's online service to lure an 11-year-old child to post nude pictures of herself.

According to the Houston Chronicle newspaper, Anthony Scott O'Shea from Kentucky is facing charges of promotion of child pornography, online solicitation of a minor and sexual performance of a child, after the girl confessed to her parents that she had posed nude for the man while playing videogames online.
