Whitney Houston and former U.S. President George Bush Did things come too easily to the legendary singer Whitney Houston and did it contribute to her early demise at the age of 47-years-old from a cocaine overdose. Houston was one of the most beautiful women in the world, with a singing voice so fantastic it wowed many the minute they heard her.
These were all God given gifts, which begs the question, did Houston take these blessings for granted that many would have loved to own. Many singers have to work very hard to sing the most basic of songs correctly, yet Houston was able to sing effortlessly. She was naturally beautiful, which also attracted attention for her unique career. Her mother, legendary singer, Cissy Houston, also used her contacts to land her gifted daughter a record deal.
At points it became clear she was overwhelmed by the industry and turned to drugs as an escape, but it became a prison that killed her. What was to be an escape, albeit an ill-advised one, jeopardizes, then damaged her gifts and worst of all claimed her life.
