It's the same reason his other ex-girlfriend Rihanna, who was getting violent with him throughout the relationship, stayed with him and even reunited with him after a break-up, many women go back to their abusers.

Some women are in love with their abusers and remain with them for that reason. It's not uncommon, but still emotionally, mentally and physically unhealthy. Some women also stay for financial reason.
